Pride Month

Pride month is here! It's June and this is the month that shows pride to the LGBTQ+ community. In June there are pride parades, parties and sometimes protests but protests are normally in October which is LGBTQ+ History Month so if there are any protests they are in October.

If you don't know what LGBTQ+ is well I will tell you each part. Lesbian means that a girl likes another girl. Gay mean just liking the same gender as you. Bisexual means liking the opposite gender as you and your same gender. Transgender means transitioning from male to female or vise versa. Queer means over all LGBTQ+. There are so many other parts to, like pansexual or non-binary, etc.

So? Are you a part of this community?

This is what Sylvia from Mac 3 Oak thinks of pride month. She cares about this community deeply and is scared that she might say the wrong thing but she really cares about this topic.

This is what Nyah, also from Mac 3 Oak, thinks of the LGBTQ+ community. She says, "I think it is a great month and LGBTQ+ people deserve to be appreciated and what better way to do that than have pride month?"

This is what Jonah from Mac 3 Oak says about the LGBTQ+ community, he says that he doesn't really celebrate it but he has nothing against it and it’s a really good topic to focus on.

And finally this is what Kingston from Mac 3 oak says about the LGBTQ+ community, he says that it’s cool and he likes the flag’s colors.

Love is love no matter what anybody says so don't be afraid to wave your flag… Happy Pride Month to you all.
