New Playground at Lake Bluff

As many of you know, part of the renovations to the school we will be getting a new playground over the summer. I also know that some classrooms have been picked to give feedback on what the new playground will look like. I am a 6th grader and I have noticed some things to take into consideration when giving feedback to the playground.

One thing I've noticed is the tire swings and the normal swings, they are in very high demand most of the time so i think we should add more of those to our school playground.

Another thing is the big slide, we should not take it down! It might be old but in some cases it is a favorite piece of equipment. I know some of my classmates feel very strongly about this topic. I also know words like iconic were used to describe the slide.

A new thing we could add is a merry go round. I have been to multiple playgrounds with them and they are popular and very fun.

There are multiple versions of the merry go round i have seen, my favorite was up in port washington at the possibility playground it was built right into the ground. All kids could use it, kids in wheelchairs could roll right onto it, and it was much easier to push and jump on as well.

I hope you take these into consideration when giving feedback to the playground company.
