Hi guys! Welcome to the fourth issue of
COOL MOVIES
by Cal and help from Colin
(By the way, our theme is the best movies I have ever seen and I've seen a lot. I will list a lot at the bottom so you also can look in to those.)
Welcome all Potterheads! This is probably one of my favorites of all time...
Now I know what you are going to say “But I already watched it!” Then I suggest read the books or watch the other movies but if you are like me and read all the books and all the movies then you could watch the Fantastic Beasts movies (which I already watched) or the play (which unfortunately is closed in New York). However there are a lot of people who have not watched any of the movies or read any of the books. So here is the summary.
Harry Potter is a boy who thinks his parents died in a car crash and he has been dropped off at the rude and dreadful Dursleys (his aunt, uncle, cousin). One day a letter comes for Harry. It is addressed from a school called Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. His “family” rips it up but more letters come and Harry finally gets one, opens it, and finds out he is accepted at a wizarding school called Hogwarts. Once he gets to Hogwarts something strange is going on, everyone is eyeballing him and the groundskeeper tells him about the school's “secret”. Can Harry and his friend figure out this secret and save the school? Watch the movie to find out!
I rate this movie 97 that was awesome out of 100, being my least favorite of the Harry Potter films but you have to watch this one or the series will not make sense. This is a great movie for all ages.
Our next movie is
The Ripleys can't wait to go camping with the Craigs. Although the kids are happy at first, they soon become scared after Chet tells the story of the bald headed bear, the children soon want to go home, some of them at least but Buck has other plans. While the children are scared the raccoons of the town are happy that some Chicago hot dog eaters have moved in. Chet wants to prove that camping is fun after his water skiing incident and try until he comes to the one conclusion. What is it? And can he do it? Watch the movie to find out!
I rate this movie 93 wows! Out of 100. I think this is for fourth graders and up because of some gross and inappropriate scenes.
The next movie is
an animated film by Wes Anderson. In this movie dogs are being exiled for a disease called snout fever. They are sent to a run down island that is now a trash island. 5 dogs have been there for a while, Boss, Chief, Duke, King, and Rex. They're working together to find food when a boy crashes on the island. The boy has come searching for his dog, and asks the dogs for help. The dogs soon go on an adventure to find Spots, the boy's dog. Meanwhile back at the city scientists work on a serum, while men hunt for the boy. Will the dogs and the young boy find Spots and figure out a way to bring back man's best friends? Watch the movie to find out!
I rate this movie a 91 “that looks cool!” out of 100 and I think it's best for third graders and up because of some moderately sad scenes.
As promised, here are other movies I recommend:
Sandlot
Field of Dreams
Jurassic Park / World
Muppets movies ( you would be surprised)
Indiana Jones
A lot more I can not recite
Remember you can always look into them if you need more COOL MOVIES. That's Cal (and Colin!) signing off.
