The Beagle Times!

The newspaper needs YOU!

Joining the club

Are you in 4th to 6th grade?

Do you want to contribute to our very own school newspaper, The Beagle Times?

If you answered YES to both of these questions, YOU can join the newspaper club! (If you didn’t, or you don’t want to participate in the meetings, you still can help! Scroll down to see how.)

Regular Zoom meetings will be held every Wednesday at 1:30 - 2:00. It’s okay if you can’t go to some of them, but you are recommended to because we do some pretty fun things! Click here to join the meeting.

Ways to help

There are many ways to contribute. Writing isn't the only one! Here are some ways to contribute:

• Drawing a picture. This could be anything from a sunset to an acorn to a football. You could draw something to go with an article, or whatever you want!

• Editing other’s work. You can help other people finish up their work by checking their spelling, grammar, and punctuation.

• Helping edit the website. You can add pictures, make corrections, and layout decisions on the website wherever it is appropriate.

• Comics. You can also write a story with pictures! A cool graphic could be an awesome way to liven up The Beagle Times.

• And writing your article! You could write a story, something about the latest news, something about sports, or anything you want!

If you can’t join the club or its regular meetings, but you still want to help…

(In other words, you don’t want to or can’t join the meetings, or you’re not in 4th to 6th grade)

You still CAN help! You can write an article, review, opinion piece, cartoon, poem, or anything else we can publish! Send it to lbnews@shorewood.k12.wi.us
