This is the month of March, the month of St. Patrick’s Day, the month that we went fully back into school, and the month of what we’re talking about in this article… Women's History Month!
There are so many amazing things that women have done, but I’m going to be mentioning three specific people who I think are very important.
AMANDA GORMAN - Youngest inaugural poet in the history of the United States and (in my opinion) one of the most memorable, she totally rocked the poem she wrote with her beautiful voice, delivery and writing. Her poem inspired many across the United States, and even the world, and with good reason.
MALALA YOUSAFZAI - Malala was shot in the head for going to school, because she was a girl. She thankfully recovered, and quickly found that she wanted to fight for girls around the world. She is such an amazing and brave person, and I look up to her!
ANN MAKOSINSKI - Although Ann is less known, she is no less important. She invented the first flashlight that didn’t need batteries, wind, or solar power. It only required body heat to light up! She won first place in the Google Science Fair, and has made amazing discoveries.
That’s it for now! Thank you so much for reading, and have a great rest of Women’s History Month!
