You have probably heard of a Rubik's Cube before. If you have never solved one before then it might look impossible but there's a lot more to them than that. First of all the chances that you will just solve one of these puzzles by chance is basically nonexistent. The reason this is, is because lots of people don’t realize that there are a set of algorithms that can be used to solve a cube. If you have ever solved maybe one or 2 sides of a Rubik’s cube that may seem like progress but it only is if all the colors on the sides of the white pieces match up with their centers.
There are several different algorithms and sets of algorithms to solve any cube. For example there is the beginner method which allows you to solve the cube but not super fast because of its simple repeating algorithms. On the other hand the advanced way of solving it takes a lot of memorization but is definitely a lot faster if you master it.
Rubik’s Cubes are a great puzzle for your brain because of all of the thinking you’re doing to do the right moves in the right places and to not mess anything up.
I only got into Rubik’s Cubes the other day and by watching some tutorials I now know how to solve and scramble with the beginner method. Honestly these puzzles are super fun and if you have an ancient Rubik’s Cube that you never knew how to solve I encourage you to try and solve it. If you look up any tutorial on the internet you’ll find hundreds of them and try to follow along.
Good luck Cubing!
