When the world was made God placed mankind in a position of trust to care for the things He created.
The Southland Adventist Christian School accepts the responsibility of being careful and prudent stewards of the things God had entrusted to us, whilst at the same time meeting the legislative and regulatory obligations of asset management in accordance with the 10 Year Property Maintenance Plan, National Education Learning Priorities and other sources quoted in Section G of the Handbook for Schools (ERO 1996). We will:
Implement a programme of asset maintenance to ensure that the School is a safe and healthy learning environment
Meet the requirements of the 10 Year Property Maintenance Plan
Prepare and practise evacuation plans
Meet Civil Defence requirements
Meet Occupational Safety and Health requirements for on-site work
General vandalism will be dealt with in accordance with the police and Risk Management procedures
The School Board will be informed as and when vandalism occurs
