Confidentiality Agreement

This agreement is included in our school Code of Conduct document.

All staff are to have signed the following confidentiality agreement: 

Description:

“Confidentiality” means being trusted with secrete of private matters. This involves being discreet with ALL matters relating to school, particularly regarding the students.

For those working:

Directly with the students during all school activities, particularly in the classroom:

1.      All written pieces (stories etc.) of pupils are confidential. The work is not to be discussed with anyone else apart from the teacher.

2.      You are to deal ONLY with the specific child you are assigned or asked to work with.

3.      You are not to discuss outside the classroom or school, any oral (eg. ‘News”) done by the children as they sometimes share intimate things.

4.      You are not to identify any student by name or description when discussing situations in the classroom/school.

5.      Any concerns regarding your specific child/ren you are working with, should be discussed with the teacher ONLY. No one else, INCLUDING the child’s caregivers. No other child/ren concern you.

AND/OR

Indirectly with students:

1.      On the bus, school outings, camps, tuck-shop, office, sports etc., you are not to identify any student by name or description when discussing situations, (apart from reporting to the teacher or principal), involving the students and staff.

I agree to abide to the Confidentiality Agreement. Failure to do so will result in being asked to leave (voluntary workers), or the possibility of being disciplined as per the Staff Discipline/ Complaints Procedure.
