STAFF LEAVE
All staff leave will be in accordance with the latest applicable Collective Agreement
The Principal will be responsible to negotiate any short term leave up to 5 days
Any staff members requesting leave longer than five days will need to have the prior approval of the Board of Trustees
All leave outside of the provisions of the Collective Agreement will be considered as Leave Without Pay (LWOP)
LWP is subject to the discretion of the Board of Trustees and will be addressed by the Board
SICK LEAVE
The employer shall grant sick leave on pay as outlined in the applicable Collective Agreement
All employees will be expected to provide a medical certificate or other evidence of illness for absences exceeding five days
In the event of an illness the employee is expected to phone the Principal as early as possible to allow time for a reliever to be sought
OTHER LEAVE
Employees may request other leave in accordance with the NZEI Collective Agreement as outlined in the Primary Teachers and Support Staff Collective Agreement
The Southland Adventist Christian School Board, will not consider any requests to cash-up annual holidays under the provisions of the Holidays Act 2003.
