Outcome statement

The staff representative brings a staff perspective to board discussion and decision making at the school.

Scoping

As a trustee, the staff representative is elected by their peers to serve the interests of Southland Adventist Christian School at governance level. The election process is outlined by NZSTA:

• Any staff member can stand.

• If more than one person stands then an election is held with staff members only voting.

• If only one person stands then this person is elected unopposed.

• They have equal voice, vote, standing and accountability to any other board member.
