Print out the drawing of your wood layer from you 3D Onshape file
Use stick glue to attach the template to your wood layer
Using the drill and a 7mm drill bit, drill a hole at each corner point of the wood layer
This is what the wood layer should look like after drilling
Put the blade of a coping saw through the holes so that you can cut the cavity out
Make sure you keep the Coping saw level
It is possible with some thinner sections of wood to use a scroll saw in the same way
When you have cut between all the dots, you should be able to remove the middle part of the cavity. Your teacher will keep this material
Use a coping saw to cut on the outside of your template, following the shape. Keep the coping saw level front and back
Try and cut small pieces away at a time, DO NOT try and cut the shape in one go
Once you have finished cutting, use a file to perfect your shape
