Watch this video to understand the lesson 2 task
Continue your slides presentation from lesson 1 and add to it. If you haven't yet completed lesson 1, you should do so first.
You are now going to start thinking about designing your own piece of architecture. To begin you should decide on a context. A context is the situation surrounding the design and build of your building or environment. Where will it be placed? What type of building will it be? It there a style? Is there a purpose of the building?
Once you have decided on these details make a slide in your slides presentation titled context. Include photos that show the context you have chosen.
Next you will need to write a specification. A Specification is a list of points to help you design and should include all the special features that you want to include when you design. You might want to include points about; what the building should do, what materials you want to use, what size it should be, what style you want the design to have, what features should it include, etc.
You should write your specification on a new slide with the title Specification.
Make a slide that describes and explains a context for designing a building or environment. Use photographs and your own words to explain the context.
A specification is like a recipe. It is a list of points that you must follow to help direct your designing.
