Using the insert tab, you can place different types of content using placeholders. This will give your page a standard type look. A good way to customise the look of your portfolio is to create pages in layout apps such as Keynote where you can arrange images and textboxes and then exports the slides as images files to add them to your portfolio.
Sharing the link to your site will allow you to share your portfolio with others. In the first instance you will be expected to share it with your teacher through google classroom. Your teacher will set up an assignment for you to do this.
Press the publish button to publish your site. The first time you do this, you will need to give your site a suitable name. The site name should be your name followed by the word 'digital portfolio' for example, Katy Douglas Digital portfolio. You will only have to name it the first time that you publish the site. When you publish the first time, your site will then be live. You then only need to click publish after you add new content.
During design and technology lessons, you will be expected to update your portfolio site each lesson to show your progress.
Think of your website as being like a story of your project work. Tell your audience what you did and why and show photographic evidence of it. Include detail images as well as the overall piece of work and use text fetures to explain everything.
