Going to the gym, I felt my overall health improve significantly. Throughout this experience, I could feel the results consistently. I don’t tire out as quickly as I used to when going up the stairs. I can also last longer on hikes as my cardiovascular health improved, as evidenced by the biology trip, where we had to walk about ten kilometers to our working sites and walk even more to switch between practicals.
My main goal for this experience was to lose weight, which I can confidently say I successfully did! I went from weighing around 75 kilos down to 72.5. Sure, it may seem like a small change, but in my eyes, it's quite an improvement over only a few months. Of course, there’s always room for more, and I think there's much to cover. I haven’t gone to the gym consistently because something else needs my attention, there is too much work to juggle, or I get sick and cannot go.
I need a planner that allows me to divide up times when I can do work, go to the gym, and still have some free time to rest so that I don’t overwork myself more than I already have. I should also probably work on a diet to improve this experience, but I’ve not thought of anything or any diets I want to try. I don’t want to restrict myself, but I still want to eat where there is a calorie deficit. I think this experience has motivated me to become a better version of myself more than ever, and with how things are going, I will be continuing this experience at least until the end of my IB Diploma or even extend to when I’m in college.
