Adding a New E-learning Template

To add a new individual E-learning template follow these steps:

Navigate to Employees > then click on Role Requirements (top right)

Then click '+ New' in the top right:

Select 'Non-role required E-learning'.

Complete the fields. We default to 'minor' for severity and a 14-day lead time, but adjust as needed:

Title  - Name of the E-learning course

Severity of the task  - tasks appear in severity order on the site when due.

Submit interval - How often the E-learning should be reviewed, we usually default to 2 years

Lead time - When the reminder task will be created. We recommend leaving this as 2 weeks

Task Title - will be defaulted, leave this.

Task Message - leave blank.

URL for this E-learning - choose the E-learning content that you want to use.

Click on save at the bottom when you're done.

This new E-learning template will now be available to add to employees.

Note - you can also create a new E-learning template when you add new E-learning to an employee - If the E-learning template you want to add isn't in the list (i.e., it's never been used before), click '+ New Template' in the top right then follow the steps above:

Adding New Role Required E-learning 

If you want to add a E-learning course that's compulsory for one or multiple roles, you can do it yourself, or the Opus team can help you.

Note  - if you add this to a role it will create tasks against all staff using this role to complete the E-learning.

Go to the Role Requirements page by navigating to the All Employees page and clicking on the Role Requirements button. 


You will see all role required training, E-learning and checklists. Click on the New button in the top right in the E-learning section.

Choose 'Role-required E-learning'.

Then tick which role(s) the E-Learning applies to

Tick the confirmation box and then click Save 

Tasks will now be generated for every employee with the roles you selected.
