Chapter 8

The yellow spotted lizard is described. Each lizard has exactly eleven yellow spots on their yellow-green body. They are known for their red eyes but in actual fact, they have yellow eyes with red skin around them. These deadly animals are white-tongued and have black teeth. Up to twenty yellow spotted lizards can live in the same hole to protect themselves from predators and the sun. Their strong legs help them jump out of deep holes and attack their prey. Their diet consists of small animals, insects, certain cacti, thorns and sunflower seed shells.
