Chapter 14

Names: Emma Keevy, Emily Smith, Sarah Labuschagne

Stanley asked X-ray if he had the golden tube he had foundand X-ray snapped at him, Stanley found the golden tube the previous day and gave it to X-ray who only mentioned it early in the morning so he wouldn't have to dig for the rest of the day.

Mr Pendanski called the Warden to look at what X-ray found, and to Stanley’s surprise the Warden was female. The warden made Mr Pendanski fill up the canteens when he had just done so a minute ago, and he tried to tell her but she stood her ground and threatened to make him dig alongside the boys. The warden gave X-ray the rest of the day off, let him take a double shower and made Mr Pendanski drive him back to camp. The warden knew about Stanley's nickname yet he had never told her about it- or spoken to her which made him think she had been spying on the camp. When asked if Stanley had enough water he tried to protect Mr Pendanski by saying his canteen was full but the warden intimidated him into saying he drank some, which made the canteen have some empty space in it which Mr Pendanski filled up not wanting to irritate the warden.
