Chapter 24

Name: Molly

Stanley was barely awake in the breakfast line, but when his eye caught Mr.Sir he awakened. He saw Mr.Sir’s swollen face and three jagged lines on his face. All the boys saw Mr.Sir’s face but said nothing. When Stanley got his breakfast he tried not to make any eye contact with Mr.Sir. A boy asked Mr.Sir what was wrong with his face. A loud crash happened, Mr.Sir had the boy’s head above the oatmeal pot asking the boy if there was something wrong with his face. The boy couldn’t say anything because he was being choked, he was let go of and fell onto the floor. On the lake all the boys questioned Stanley, he ignored them. Mr.Sir drove to the boys to fill their canteens. All of the boys had their canteens filled until it was Stanley’s turn. Mr.Sir opened Stanley’s canteen. Mr.Sir handed Stanley his empty canteen. Stanley just replied with a “thank you”.
