Chapter 15

Names: Saamia Gaffoor, Isabella Kalam, Shen-Yun Weng

The Warden got everyone to dig around the area where X-Ray ‘found’ the tube. She partnered each boy. One boy would dig the hole and the other would shovel the dirt into the wheelbarrow. When it’s full, they must dump it away from that area. The Warden said that if they found something interesting, they would be rewarded. The Warden, Mr. Pendanski and Mr. Sir stayed at the site for the rest of the day and made sure they were never thirsty. After a while, she would tell the boys to switch places.

As they walked back to the compound, Stanley wondered how the Warden knew their names. Zigzag said that the Warden watches them the whole time through hidden cameras and microphones, even in the showers. Stanley wasn't sure about that and realised why X-Ray was ignoring him at breakfast. X-Ray was scared that the Warden was listening to them. Stanley was sure that they were looking for something, not just digging for character, but whatever they were digging for, they were digging in the wrong place.
