Approaching the mountain, Stanley was worried that there wouldn’t be anything there. He and Zero climbed up in a zigzag pattern, using the weeds to steady their feet. Darkness arrived, along with bugs. Stanley tried to get Zero to say more words, but Zero threw up upon attempt. He thought it would be better to stop spelling and save their energy instead. Stanley noticed that weeds and bugs didn’t appear on the lake. That meant that they were near water. Zero suddenly fell to the ground and Stanley couldn’t wake him.
