Waking up Stanley gazed at the huge rock, just staring at it. He turned, seeing a hole with brown water filling it, Stanley gathered some and drank it . Despite the pain he felt when talking, he checked up on Zero who was not doing good. Zero drank some water and began shaking roughly. Stanley considered seeking for a shovel but barely had the strength to get up. After some time he stood up looking at his surroundings and picking up a flower, thinking about the events that took place the previous night. Although he wanted to find a shovel he also didn't want to leave Zero scared he would die in his absence. Zero attempted to get Stanley to listen to him, but Stanley was persistent. However Zero confessed to stealing Clyde Livingstone's shoes, and Stanley was shocked. Zero appeared relieved and fell asleep to Stanley's singing.
