Dear Eagle Families,
Who hoo - our first FULL week of the school year brought so much to be proud of together!! Our students and staff have been spending time building their classroom community. Practicing routines, reviewing our PBIS (Positive Behavior Intervention and Supports) expectations throughout the building, and really setting the tone for an outstanding year ahead together! You can ask your child about ways they take great care of themselves, others, and Summerside throughout the school day!
Speaking of taking great care of others, our arrival and dismissal protocols are in place and running so smoothly thanks to all of the parents and staff who are supporting the process! A reminder, you can drop off your child as early as 8:45 am to eat a school-purchased breakfast in our cafeteria (see information below). Thank you to all in the car line for maintaining a single lane to allow parents to access our front entrance for breakfast. We appreciate all who have been patient with checking IDs in the car line during dismissal. Our car tags should be in this week to expedite this process too and we will bring them to you in the car line!
Be sure to see all of the smiling faces below, including an introduction to our new kindergarten teacher as we have added a fifth section due to our growing enrollment. We are thrilled to welcome Mrs. O'Dell to the team! She started with us on Friday to begin getting to know students and our kindergarten routines.
Here's to an outstanding start to the school year! We are truly on the RISE together this school year!
Sincerely,
Mrs. Courtney & Ms. Lowe

Our mission is to commit to excellence, with every learner, every day, in every way. One way that we can do that is to help provide for your child if there is a need for food at home over the weekend. Thanks to the generosity of local organizations who wish to serve our Summerside students, we are able to continue our Weekend Food Bag Program as an option for our students in need for the 2022 - 23 school year. If you are interested in your child participating in this program, receiving a food bag at the end of each week, please complete the linked form below. Requests will be filled on a first-come-first-serve basis, prioritized by our free and reduced school fee recipients. There is the potential for a waiting list while we pursue additional resources to expand this program if we find that our students’ needs are greater than the current levels of support available. We are also fortunate to have local organizations offering Giving Tree and Holiday Food support for the holidays. Please indicate on the following form if you are interested in being contacted by the agencies who provide them about those programs as well.
