Dear Summerside Eagle Families,
We started our week with our second annual Turkey Trot kick off assembly! Any time we get to have all students and staff come together for an assembly we build enthusiasm and school pride and a true sense of community and commitment to one another. Thank you to our PTO chairpersons for this event for bringing the FUN, Mrs. Rood and Mrs. Gyarmati, and for their dedication to raising funds for our students and Summerside community.
Our fifth graders headed to Camp Campbell Gard on Wednesday. Be sure to see below for some pictures and insight into their outdoor experiences. Even those who did not attend camp explored our Summerside outdoor learning path!
Also on Wednesday morning, your student might have noticed we had other guests at Summerside as district and building administrators across West Clermont Schools joined at Summerside to see the great things happening at Summerside! As shared during our Tuesday evening PTO meeting, these weekly instructional walk-throughs provide an opportunity for us to continue to grow in our instructional approach across the district and help guide our professional development days and ways of working to meet your child's needs. You can ask your child if they were able to share their learning with another building principal or district adult this past week.
The Health Source of Ohio's Mobile Dentist is back at Summerside this coming week to continue to provide quality dental care for our students. If you want your child to be seen, it is not too late. Simply reach out to our front office for more information.
Finally, please make plans to join us on Thursday, November 10, at Merwin Elementary for our next Town Hall. You can RSVP here: November 10th at 7 PM Merwin Elementary (1040 Gaskins Rd.)
Sincerely,
Mrs. Courtney & Ms. Lowe
P.S. A reminder, we do not have school on Tuesday, November 8th due to Election Day.
P.S.S. It's Daylight Savings time to Fall Back this weekend.
