Dear Summerside Eagle Families,

What an exciting day at Summerside!! Our Turkey Trot was filled with Summerside smiles throughout the day and so many reasons to celebrate together. The incredible t-shirts are a gift from our PTO and t-shirt sponsors to say thank you for your efforts to support this fundraiser and to show our collective school spirit. All grade levels got to trot around the building, having fun at each station, dancing, racing, limboing, jumping rope, popping bubbles, zig-zagging, hula hooping, and signing a turkey trot sign. Each of these stations was led by a parent volunteer who brought energy, smiles, and fun for our students. Thank you to all of our volunteers for your support in making this event such a success!

We also want to thank our teachers for their enthusiasm and encouragement throughout the past three weeks to help support students in their fundraising efforts!

WE RAISED MORE THAN $19,525.25 TOGETHER!!

It is powerful to think of how much we can do together to make such a difference! At our end-of-day assembly, we celebrated our Kindergarten class for bringing in the most amount of money, more than $3,500, making them the school champions this year. They enjoyed a special Champion's Lunch to say thank you. As a whole school, we celebrated all of our top earners and while we didn't get to see Mrs. Courtney sleeping in a tent overnight, our top earners were able to silly string her, along with Ms. Lowe, and Officer Ventree! Be sure to ask your child their fun throughout the day as a way to recognize how proud we are of raising this huge amount for our school that we know will make a difference at Summerside.
