Dear Summerside Eagle Families,
Students and staff at Summerside spent the day honoring and recognizing the sacrifices that those who served and continue to serve our country in the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, Space Force and Coast Guard armed forces. We started our day saying the Pledge of Allegiance and then followed the Veterans Day Moment of Silence Act that was signed into law calling on the people of the United States to observe a moment of silence on Veterans Day in honor of the service and sacrifice of veterans throughout the history of the Nation.
Throughout the day, students spent time learning about the history of Veteran's Day and the importance of who and what we are honoring on November 11 each year. Students wrote letters, drew pictures, and added their special touch to a gift we will present to our local VFW Post 72-Mt.Carmel next week. Students in the first grade virtually met with Mrs. O'Connor's brother, Sergeant Deane, currently stationed at 29 Palms, California, and soon to be deployed to Japan. Other students will be giving thanks to Mrs. Throckmorton's son and those he is serving with, stationed in Germany. Please see below for more Summerside connections in our armed forces that we want to recognize and honor. We are grateful for all who served and continue to serve our country.
We began our second quarter on Wednesday, November 9, moving our students into the next set of standards and learning opportunities in each grade level. It is hard to believe we are one-third of the way into the school year together already! We encourage you to reflect on how much your child has grown so far this year, how far they have already come. We encourage you to continue to revisit goals set at the start of the school year to see if your child is on track or if adjustments are needed to continue positive momentum in learning, leading, and succeeding this school year.
First-quarter Report Cards are available to view on the West Clermont PowerSchool Parent Portal page.
See below for a link to directions on how to access your child's report cards. We encourage all parents to log into the parent portal to update their information and review student progress. We are committed to excellence with every learner, every day, in every way and your partnership ensures your child learns, leads, and succeeds!
Sincerely,
Mrs. Courtney & Ms. Lowe

We had the honor of hosting the Health Source of Ohio Mobile Dental Treatment team at Summerside and celebrating their ribbon cutting for this incredible service opportunity we are offering our students. Earilier this school year, more than 40 students had their teeth cleaned at Summerside and now the team is back providing restorative care, filling more than 30 cavities this past week with more to come! We are so grateful for our partnership with the Health Source of Ohio and our ability to care for our students in this way throughout our school day!
If you are experiencing problems with Autopay on the PaySchools App, you will need to contact the Support line through PaySchools at 1-877-393-6628. Child Nutrition does not have access to PaySchools in order to answer your questions. PaySchools is aware that there have been issues in regards to payments posting and balance discrepancies on student lunch accounts. For updated balances, Child Nutrition suggests registering for a free Titan Account. The link to do so is family.titank12.com.
