Dear Summerside Families,
While we only had three quick days with our students this past week, we were still able to pack a lot of learning into those days across all grade levels! You can ask your first grader about their written predictions leading up to Groundhog's Day. This weekend is evidence of him seeing his shadow, leading us to expect below-average temperatures for the next six weeks. You can ask your fourth grader to show you what it means to restate the question in their written response to be certain they are including all of the requested information.
We welcomed parents of the class of 2036 at our West Clermont Kindergarten information night at the WCHS. It is always exciting to see how our Summerside community continues to grow each year and how we come together as one community to support our students' journey on their path toward our Portrait of a Graduate.
A reminder, City Saver envelopes and/or books are due back on Monday, February 6. This PTO fundraiser provides access to key resources like curriculum materials, books, and professional development opportunities for our students and teachers. We appreciate your support in this fundraiser and the connections it brings to our community resources as well. Be sure to download the app too for double the savings!
We hope all of our Summerside girls and their special guests can join us for a PTO Pretty in Pink Girl's Night Out on Friday night! In the meantime, we hope all stay warm and we look forward to a full week ahead together!
Sincerely,
Mrs. Courtney & Ms. Lowe
Grade-level newsletters will be updated every two weeks.
Our Discover team newsletter will be updated quarterly.

Indoor Recess can be a lot of fun too!
Valentine's Day
Many parents have asked about Valentine's Day. Your child's teacher will communicate their plans and expectations for celebrating Valentine's Day in their classrooms as we have in years past. A reminder, we cannot allow food to be brought in to be distributed to our students at any time as noted in our WC Student/Parent handbook on page 24 without prior approval. However, we know that Valentines sometimes includes a small, wrapped sucker or box of candy hearts which will be sent home for parents to decide if they wish for their child to eat or not.
School Fees and Lunch Money
If you are experiencing problems with Autopay on the PaySchools App, you will need to contact the Support line through PaySchools at 1-877-393-6628. Child Nutrition does not have access to PaySchools in order to answer your questions. PaySchools is aware that there have been issues in regards to payments posting and balance discrepancies on student lunch accounts. For updated balances, Child Nutrition suggests registering for a free Titan Account. The link to do so is family.titank12.com.
