Dear Summerside Eagle Families,
We wrapped up the second quarter of the school year on Thursday and are beginning our third quarter when we return on Tuesday, January 17th. Your child's teacher(s) have been working hard to update your child's progress with mastery of their grade-level standards which can be seen on their report card that opens on Wednesday, January 18th. We encourage all families to log into the parent portal to review their child's progress so far this year. We are mid-way through the school year and your child's report card will give insight into their growth this year, their mastery of grade-level standards, and areas that they will need to continue to strengthen.
Second Quarter Report Cards will be available to view on the West Clermont PowerSchool Parent Portal page starting 1/18/23.

In addition to your child's report card linked in Powerschool, look for updated results of benchmark assessment data in their folders. Some grades have already sent them home and others will be sent home by the end of next week.
We are working together to help your child build the future they see for themselves. We appreciate your commitment and partnership to support their growth!
Sincerely,
Mrs. Courtney & Ms. Lowe
P.S. We hope everyone enjoys the extended holiday weekend as we honor the civil rights leader, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. on Monday, January 16. See below for resources to explore at home on Monday. Students will not have school on Monday, 1/16/23
Report Cards will be released to view in Powerschool on Wednesday, January 18th.
Grade-level newsletters will be updated every two weeks.
Our Discover team newsletter will be updated quarterly.
JUST UPDATED, 1/13/23!
We encourage our students to learn about how they can impact the world around them through their leadership in how they take care of themselves, others, and Summerside. Classrooms spent time honoring and learning about the importance of the impact that Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. continues to have in our daily lives as we work to create excellence in every learner by using a calm, consistent, and caring approach in a safe and welcoming environment every day, in every way.
Here is one resource some used with lesson plans and videos you can watch at home too.
Here is a StoryWorks resource that some used to inspire ways we can all lead to make a difference in our world together.
We encourage all to take time on Monday, January 16, to learn more and serve others to continue to bring us all together.
