Dear Summerside Eagle Families,
Thank you for sharing your children with us, they are truly gifts to us and this world and we are honored to be a part of their lives this school year! We are so grateful for our partnership in ensuring that your children grow socially, emotionally, academically, creatively, and in so many other ways as outlined in our WC Portrait of a Graduate.
We had an outstanding, festive week that kicked off with our School Families coming together for a whole school sing-along of Jingle Bells and Frosty the Snowman. Wednesday evening was our first-ever musical performance at Summerside since opening the new building where all students in the second grade WOWed us with their beautiful voices and talent in a program led by Mrs. Hardy, our incredible music teacher! It was truly a special event with a packed house filled with family and friends there to enjoy the show. Our music room transformed into Whoville on Friday as students visited with the Grinch along with some West Clermont High School students and we enjoyed music from our WCHS Band as they played beautiful music with their saxophones in each of our classrooms. Be sure to see below for pictures of each of these incredible opportunities our students enjoyed this week to see paths they may want to explore more in their future. Each one offered students the ability to learn about and consider new skills, the importance of being part of a group, and tapping into their personal happiness and joy. We invite you to join us at the next Town Hall meeting to continue to learn about the opportunities our students have as WC students and to share your perspective on how we can continue to raise healthy, happy, independent people together!
This will be the last Summerside Eagle Update of the 2022 year. School resumes on Wednesday, January 4, 2023, and our parent updates will resume that week. In the meantime, we hope you all have a wonderful holiday, filled with many opportunities to simply be with your family and friends, read a good book, and enjoy a more laid back pace for a few days. Here's to a Happy New Year together!
Sincerely,
Mrs. Courtney & Ms. Lowe

Holiday Fun!
2nd Grade Holiday Program
Our hearts all grew three sizes today as all Summerside Eagles visited Whoville and the Grinch today! Ms. Hope Hughes, our parent resource coordinator, created this opportunity for our students, partnering with students from the WCHS!
We welcomed a West Clermont High School Quartet from the WCHS band to treat each classroom with a holiday concert!
Report Cards
You may access your student’s report card via the Parent Portal. Here are step-by-step directions:
School Fees and Lunch Money
If you are experiencing problems with Autopay on the PaySchools App, you will need to contact the Support line through PaySchools at 1-877-393-6628. Child Nutrition does not have access to PaySchools in order to answer your questions. PaySchools is aware that there have been issues in regards to payments posting and balance discrepancies on student lunch accounts. For updated balances, Child Nutrition suggests registering for a free Titan Account. The link to do so is family.titank12.com.

Winter Weather and School Closings
As we move into wintertime, it is important for everyone to be prepared in the event we would have to close our schools due to weather issues. We encourage you to check out the article on our website entitled, "How Emergency Weather Decisions Are Made in West Clermont."
District-Wide Notification System Test
In addition, next week we will be conducting a district-wide test of our all-call and email notification system. On the evening of Tuesday, November 29th around 7 PM, we will send both a phone call and an email test notification to all West Clermont families. Our system will notify the student contacts that parents/guardians submitted during the annual re-registration process each summer. If you do not receive the phone call and/or email, or you wish to change the contact numbers on file for your student, please contact your child's school office.
Coming soon: An Updated WolfPack Hub!
This coming weekend, we will be launching an updated version of the WolfPack Hub on our district website. The WolfPack Hub is your "one stop shop" as a parent or guardian. It's where you will find information and the links to do things like:
Report absences
Pay fees
Look up your child's grades
In addition, you'll be able to:
Access the district calendar
View breakfast and lunch menus
Find the dates and times for school building events and activities
Get the links to various forms
Find resources in our community for families
...and much more!
When the new WolfPack Hub launches, you'll get to it at the same place you visit the current version: westcler.org/hub. When we return from Thanksgiving break, be sure to check out the new and improved WolfPack Hub!
REMINDER: Thanksgiving Break
There is no school for students tomorrow (Wednesday, November 23rd) through Friday (November 25th). School will resume on Monday, November 28th.
