Dear Eagle Families,
It is almost the first day of school!! This is such an incredible time of year, filled with anticipation, the joy of school supplies and school buses, and the overall feeling of starting something so important together! Our 2022 - 2023 school year is going to be an outstanding one and we look forward to meeting and seeing everyone soon!
We hope you can join us for our Open House night, Tuesday, August 16th from 4:00 - 7:30 pm (4:00 - 7:00pm for kindergarten families. See below for more information). Open house is an excellent time to meet your child's teacher, their peers and their families, to join our PTO and to make connections to some of our extended learning opportunities and supports in our community. Our PTO will have Eagle spirit wear and the Snow Shack on-site to purchase if you choose. We will also have car tag pick up in the gymnasium. Please be sure to bring your ID so we can check we are releasing your car tag to approved adults in our system. To avoid waiting in line, you can request a car tag here, completing this form for each child who will be picked up. If you complete the car tag form by Monday morning, we will have it ready for you Tuesday evening to grab and go (ID check still applies).
Another reminder, our school hours are from 9:20am - 3:55 pm. We will be serving breakfast before school begins this school year. Please see below for our arrival and dismissal procedures to help guide this new protocol. Thank you for your patience in the first few weeks as we navigate and adjust these procedures to ensure everyone's safety while entering and exiting in a timely manner.
It is going to be an outstanding school year ahead with a LOT to be excited about together!
Sincerely,
Mrs. Courtney & Ms. Lowe

Kindergarten students must be immunized against Hepatitis B and chickenpox. For the safety of all students, the school principal may remove a student from school or establish a deadline for meeting State requirements if a student does not have the necessary immunizations or authorized exemption. In the event of a chicken pox epidemic, the Superintendent may temporarily deny admission to a student otherwise exempted from the chicken pox immunization requirement.
Immunizations Requirements for Kindergarten and All students enrolled for the first time in public or private schools in Ohio are required to be immunized as follows:
In accordance with Ohio State Law 3313.67, West Clermont School District requires students to provide a record of immunizations to prevent the spread of communicable diseases among pupils attending. Required immunizations and doses for kindergartners are as follows:
DPT (to protect against Diphtheria, Tetanus, and Pertussis). Your child should have a total of four or more doses with the last dose being on or after the fourth birthday.
Polio (IPV). Your child should have a total of three or more doses with the last dose being on or after the fourth birthday.
Hep B (to protect against Hepatitis B). Your child should have a total of three doses.
MMR (to protect against Measles, Mumps, and Rubella). Your child should have a total of two doses with the first dose given on or after the first birthday and the second dose being at least 28 days after the first dose. Varicella (to protect against Chicken Pox). Your child should have a total of two doses with the first dose given on or after the first birthday and the second dose being at least 28 days after the first dose.
The full immunization schedule can be found here Ohio Department of Health
Students who arrive at school from the bus will be invited to unload from the buses when they arrive at school IF they are entering the school to eat breakfast. All others will remain on the bus until 9:18 when we unload to bring students into the school.
Our front entrance is reserved for our parent drop-off car line. If you are planning to drive your child to school this year, all cars are to remain in a single-lane line along our red curb lane in front of the building, following the flow of traffic to ensure we are not blocking traffic at any time to allow parents who wish to drop their children off in the morning for breakfast.
Breakfast* will be served beginning at 8:45 am in the cafeteria and parents are permitted to use the second lane on the left to pull to the front of the building to drop off their child. There will be a staff member in the front car line starting at 8:45 am to monitor the unloading for breakfast. Please do not drop your child off earlier than 8:45 am.
*It is important to note that any child who is dropped off early, between 8:45 - 9:20 am, will be charged a breakfast each morning as they are not permitted in the building otherwise because we do not have staff available to monitor their safety. Please be mindful of moving vehicles and students walking at all times.
Once additional adults join the car line at 9:18, staff will direct cars into two lanes to expedite our drop-off line.
We encourage all families to use the district provided buses to get your children to and from school. Just a reminder that the Transportation Department plans to have updated bus routes posted on the "Bus Route E-Link" system. We also recommend that all families continue to check this site up until the first day of school to note any potential changes made to your child’s route.
To access the E-Link system:
Visit the Transportation section of the WolfPack Hub, scroll to Transportation Links and Forms, and then click on Bus Route E Link.
To log in, use the following:
Username: Student ID
Password: Child’s birthdate (8 digits. For example: 08012018)
Once the school year begins, we also encourage families to check out the Petermann Bus Tracker App. This app will securely allow parents/guardians to view the location of their child(ren)’s bus in relation to their assigned bus stop as well as provide information about their routes, in near real-time, including the scheduled arrival time of each stop. Please view the following documents for more information:
Please pull into your designated lanes as noted on the map using the right lane first until filled and then filling the left lane as this will allow traffic to continue to flow through our lot until our dismissal.
Kindergarten: The first two lanes have been reserved for families whose youngest is in kindergarten.
First & Second Grade: The next two lanes are for families whose youngest are in first and second grade.
Third, Fourth, and Fifth Graders: The furthest two lanes are reserved for those whose youngest is in third, fourth, and fifth grades.
We ask that you remain in your car, putting your car in park until cleared for take-off.
If all lanes are filled once you arrive, please stay in a single file line along Edwilla Drive and we will move all of our second-round cars along the red curb lane closest to the building once we move the first line of cars.
Please do not get into our car line earlier than 3:40 pm. We appreciate wanting to get out early but it is important to note, our system is very safe and timely. All of our students are almost always in their cars and rolling by 4:05. Obviously, the first few days take some time as do days of inclement weather may lead to delays but we still work hard to expedite the process.
Please have your car tag visible and ready for us to quickly match your child to you. As a reminder, we will release your child to anyone who has their car tag number so please be sure this is in a secure place and only shared with those who you trust.
Click here to request a car tag. Without a car tag, we will place your child on the school bus unless otherwise notified, in writing and/or via email to your child's teacher.
If you do not have a car tag, we will not load your child in the first round of our car line. We will ask you to pull back around for our second line of loading so that we can check your ID in the main office to ensure we are only allowing those with permission to pick up your child. This expedites our process and allows us to ensure safe practices versus rushing to get them in the car while holding everyone else up.
Please note, parents are not permitted to come to the office to pick up their child at the end of the day or line our sidewalk outside our main entrance as this is the path our students take to get to the car line.
**It is important to note that our teachers share the dismissal duties, taking half of the grade level of students to the buses and half of the grade level to the car rider line. When we make changes, it requires multiple points of communication that ultimately interrupt our learning environment and can cause confusion at the end of our day. To ensure everyone's safety, we ask that everyone knows and follows our bus and car line expectations and procedures. Thank you for your help and understanding.
All students have been assigned a bus for arrival and dismissal for the school year. If you are planning to pick your child up from school on a routine basis, you can complete the following form to get a car tag that will allow us to easily identify you as an adult with permission to pick up your child. Without a car tag, we will place your child on the school bus unless otherwise notified, in writing and/or via email to your child's teacher prior to 3:30 pm each day. Please complete our Summerside CAR TAG FORM if you anticipate picking up your child in the car line at any time during the school year.
Bus tags will be provided for all Kindergarten and 1st- grade students in the first week of school on their backpacks.
Car tags will be given to legal guardians of car riders on Open House night or during office hours (M-F; 8:30 am- 3:30 pm). Please bring your ID.
We encourage parents who will be picking up their child from school, even if not routinely, to get car tags to ensure you can join our car line at the end of the day so we can release your child to you quickly. Parents in the car line without car tags will be directed to loop around for the second/third stage of pickup up and pull up to the curb to have identification verified once we get the majority of the students loaded and cars off our lot.
Anyone who has your car tag that matches your child's backpack number will be permitted to pick up your child so it is important to maintain their security at all times.
We encourage parents to carpool which is why we give every family two car tags so that you can simply send one of the tags with the other parent to show to the grade level teacher at dismissal.
