UPCOMING EVENTS
The Department of Criminal Justice and Social Work would like to promote the individual safety of our campus community. In that vein, we have partnered with the Kentucky Academy of Martial Arts to sponsor some events this semester focused on teaching people techniques for personal self-defense and being aware of your environment. While the session will focus on women's self-defense, the techniques can be used by anybody who is facing a threat.
Our first event will be specifically for faculty and staff and be held on Wednesday, March 5, from 2:30-3:30pm in the Carr Hall Dance Studio. The event will be capped at 30 because the presenters will work one-on-one with participants; if more than 30 sign up, a wait list will be created.
If you have any questions, please contact Katy Hancock at khancock11@murraystate.edu
