UPCOMING EVENTS
Please help us spread the word about the COEHS Student Picnic, happening Thursday, August 27, from 11 a.m.–1 p.m. on the Alexander Hall lawn!
Students are encouraged to stop by for lunch and connect with COEHS student organizations, academic programs and campus resources. This is a great opportunity for students—especially those new to COEHS—to meet others, get involved and learn more about the resources and opportunities available to them.
Faculty and staff, please encourage your students to attend and stop by between classes!
WELCOME BACK!
Happy First Day of Classes! 📚💙💛
COEHS faculty and staff were ready to welcome students back to campus and kick off the Fall 2026 semester. We’re looking forward to another great year of learning, connecting, and growing together.
ELE411
Tuesday, August 18
Dr. Jessica Pryor’s students kicked off the semester with connection, creativity, and collaboration!
Through a series of interactive classroom rotations, students got to know their classmates while taking part in activities that encouraged creativity, conversation, and teamwork — from designing name tags and contributing to graffiti boards to forming groups and participating in quick challenges.
A fun and engaging way to build community and start the semester strong!
Ice Cream Social
Monday, August 17
ECE hosted an ice cream social for incoming IECE and ELE majors immediately following EDU 100T on Monday. The event gave students an opportunity to become familiar with Alexander Hall, their major, professors, and each other. The goal was for every student to meet someone they could sit with in class the next day and feel more connected. The social was a blast, and we are even more excited for the semester ahead!
CJSW Student Mixer
Monday, August 17
Criminal Justice and Social Work kicked off the semester with a student mixer!
Students had the chance to connect with classmates, meet faculty, and build relationships as we begin a new academic year.
