Midweek Round-Up
The Weekly Faculty and Staff Newsletter
College of Education and Human Services at Murray State University
MESSAGES & DEPARTMENT UPDATES
Upcoming Events
Join us on Thursday, November 16, from 3:30 to 5:00 p.m. in the Lowry Center 2nd Floor for a unique & insightful event. Dr. Ben Littlepage will facilitate a First-Generation Student Panel, featuring four dynamic first-generation students from both undergraduate & graduate programs, in an opportunity for faculty & staff to gain a deeper understanding of the college experience through their eyes.
First-generation students comprise 44% of Murray State's enrollment. The First Gen Student Panel event aims to bridge the gap between students & educators, helping us better serve a student population important to the identity of our university. The panelists will share their personal journeys, discussing challenges, successes, & the revelations they've had along the way.
Attendees will get an opportunity to engage in meaningful dialogue & connection with the panelists. By attending, you can learn how to provide more effective support & guidance to our first-generation students, ensuring they have the tools & resources needed to thrive as a Racer.
Please remind your student workers and graduate assistants to join us for our Holiday Party on Mon, Nov 27 @11 AM - 1 PM.
(lunch provided!)
