Dr. Ben Littlepage participated as one of four panelists in the October rollout of the Kentucky Advising Academy. The goal of the Kentucky Advising Academy (KAA) is to support Kentucky educators in providing students equitable access to postsecondary advising for a successful transition from secondary education to their desired career pathway. Dr. Littlepage, and eight other education professionals from across the state, have assisted the Council on Postsecondary Education (CPE) with the Academy's framework, resource repository, strategic vision, and communication plan since February. The KAA is an action item for CPE's strategic initiative known as the Commonwealth Education Continuum. Attendees of the panel webinar included K-12 and higher education counselors and career coaches from across the state
The Council on Postsecondary Education selected a cohort of 20 mid-career, academic affairs leaders from across Kentucky to participate in a Faculty Leadership Academy (FLA). Dr. Ben Littlepage was selected to the 2024-2025 cohort. The FLA is designed to equip faculty to navigate the complexities of academia in Kentucky and enhance their leadership skills through networking, mentoring, and applied learning.
