DEPARTMENT UPDATES
Elementary senior students have been awarded scholarships totaling $9,450
Dr. Chhanda Islam emphasized the importance of students applying for the general scholarship, stating, “It’s essential to encourage students to submit their applications for the general scholarship. This is particularly beneficial as these students often qualify for a variety of additional scholarships funded by our endowment programs. Receiving financial support from multiple sources really enhances their educational experience and lessens the financial burden. Moreover, it's important to note that our endowed scholarship program also takes into account students who may not secure funding through the general scholarships. This ensures that we can support a broader range of students in their academic pursuits.”
Dr. Vigil, Autumn Jeffords, MSU HPE Club President, and Dr. Rogers at the opening session at Shape America in Baltimore on Tuesday, April 1st.
The Society of Health and Physical Educators (SHAPE America) is an American organization that provides support to professionals in health, physical education, recreation and dance.
