PRESS RELEASE
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
With a decrease in available financial aid this year, the Racers Helping Racers Food Pantry has experienced a significant increase in student usage. As a result, the pantry is in urgent need of donations.
The Dean’s Office will be collecting non-perishable food items for the pantry beginning Monday, November 3, through Monday, November 17.
Re’Nita Avery has shared a list of the pantry’s most needed items, which can be accessed here.
A drop off box will be located in the Dean's Office starting Monday morning.
Let’s come together to support our students—especially as the colder months approach.
We are excited to offer faculty and staff the opportunity to update their professional headshots! Whether you need a new photo for your university profile, website, or any other professional purpose, we’ve made it easy for you to schedule a session.
How to Schedule Your Appointment:
Simply use the online appointment calendar to select a time that works best for you! An email follow-up will be sent after an appointment is made.
Using technology like AI or virtual reality in the classroom?
Is your class working on a super cool project?
Schedule a time for me to stop by and grab photos (or video) of your students using technology to enhance their learning.
You can also schedule a time for me to grab photos of group work, class projects, etc.
If you already have photos, feel free to submit them here using the photo folder link!
In an effort to showcase the outstanding work of our College of Education and Human Services faculty, we will be highlighting recent presentations, publications, and other scholarly accomplishments.

STUDENT NEWS
Congratulations to our College of Education and Human Services students, Maggie White (Elementary Education) and Jared Juenger (Middle School Education), on being crowned Murray State’s 2025 Homecoming Queen and King!
CLASSROOM UPDATES
HPE 175 and 180
Recently, Health and Physical Education students enrolled in HPE 175 and 180 planned and led recreational activities and games for the residents at Brookdale Senior Living. It was a great learning experience with an older population. All had fun!
EDU 180
EDU 180 students spent the day observing classrooms across Christian County, gaining valuable insight into their chosen areas—elementary, middle, high school, or CTE. Throughout the day, they received feedback from teachers that deepened their interest and enthusiasm for a future in education.
