UPCOMING EVENTS
Join us for the 41st Harry M. Sparks Distinguished Lecture Series as we welcome Dr. Kerry Magro.
Dr. Magro is a autistic professional speaker, author and consultant to Netflix Love on the Spectrum U.S.
On April 21 from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m., the Criminal Justice Program and the Criminal Justice Society will host Kentucky Supreme Court Justice Shea Nickell as a special guest speaker. The event will take place in the main auditorium of Alexander Hall.
Justice Nickell’s presentation, “Eternal Vigilance: Courts, Law, and Lawyers in Our Commonwealth,” will provide a broad overview of Kentucky’s four-tier court system, explain how decisions are made at the state’s highest court, and offer insight into his judicial philosophy. He will also discuss current challenges to the rule of law and judicial independence, while sharing advice for students considering law school or careers in the legal profession.
A brief Q&A session will follow the presentation.
