Habakkuk Lesson
Habakkuk Lesson
10:00-10:15 - Get to know new kids, entertain early arrivals until lesson begins
Habakkuk’s name means “to wrestle”. This name fits him, because he was a prophet who argued with God. He didn’t understand why God did some of the things He did or let certain things happen.
It’s okay to not totally understand what God is doing - in fact, we find ourselves in that situation a lot! God has plans that we can’t always see, and sometimes it can feel like He’s not doing anything. But we have to trust Him enough to know that His plans are good.
VERSE: Habakkuk 2a
“How long, Lord, must I call for help and you do not listen…”
Habakkuk felt like God wasn’t listening to him, because he couldn’t see his prayers being answered or hear God’s reply.
