Today we are going to learn about the people who spoke about Jesus's birth before it happened, Jesus's actual birth, and what happened right after he was born! It was all very special!

To start, fold paper plate in half and tape closed (this helps when you are cutting)
Draw a star template on it (you can look at the pictures from the link above for help)
Have the kids cut out the empty spaces around the start
Color the start any color they want and fold it up!

Have the kids place a paper plate on their head like you see in the picture!
Let the kids have 1 minute to draw a snowman on their paper plate without looking!

Cards with Christmas characters on it (optional.. you can just tell them what to act out)

Directions:
Split the room into two sides similar to dodgeball. Give each child two pieces of white computer paper and give them one minute to have a dodgeball/snowball fight. Play using the rules to dodgeball.

-Come together and sit in a circle to talk about what they learned today. Ask them the same questions that you asked at the beginning of the day. How are their answers different now that they know more about Palm Sunday? Talk about what they can go home and tell their family about Palm Sunday. This is also a time they can update their journals (big kids only) or color the pictures (littles).

-Have them gather around the table and draw a picture or write a letter to their families about what they learned today.
-Play a game of some sort. (If you have the hula hoops, have them join hands in a circle and pass the hula hoop around the circle without breaking their hands)
