Genesis 2:1-3
1 Thus the heavens and the earth were completed in all their vast array. 2 By the seventh day God had finished the work he had been doing; so on the seventh day he rested from all his work. 3 Then God blessed the seventh day and made it holy, because on it he rested from all the work of creating that he had done.
What did God create on day 7? We know that God made the world and everything in it and we found out that on the first day God made light/day and dark/night, the second day He made the sky and water, on the third day He made the land, plants, and tree, on the fourth day He made the sun, moon, and stars, on the fifth day He made the fish and birds, and on the sixth day He made man and animals... but what happened on the seventh day? How long do you think it took Him to make everything (7 days, well technically 6)? Today, we are going to learn about the seventh day of creation and how God decided to have a sabbath day!!

Directions:
1- Let the kids draw a ladder on their paper and write the a number 1-7 in each section.
2- When all kids have their gameboard made, they put their game piece on the number 1
3- When you say go, everyone gets to roll the dice over and over until they get the number 1 on their dice. For the littles, have each child take a turn rolling the dice and everyone gets to move when some rolls a 1 rather than racing or giving each child a dice... they may not know how to count :-)!
4-When a 1 is rolled, they can move their game piece to the number 2 and attempt to roll the number two on their dice. They can not move to the number 3 until they roll a 2.
5- Keep going until lastly someone is on the number 6 and then rolls a 6 in order to get to the "rest day" number 7.
6-When they get to 7 they get to pretend to sleep until everyone else finishes the game.

-Ask if anyone has a prayer request/praise report. Pray over requests.
-Worship time- Have the kids go find a spot to themselves and have some time with God (play the song below for around 3/5 minutes).
-Have them gather around the table and draw a picture or write a letter to their families about what they learned today.
-Play a game of some sort. (If you have the hula hoops, have them join hands in a circle and pass the hula hoop around the circle without breaking their hands)
