What does Lifeline church believe it's job is? Our mission: We exist to meet the needs of people.
1. TO LOVE GOD: Our greatest need is to have a loving and personal relationship with Jesus Christ. How we meet this need: Dynamic Weekend Worship Services in which people are invited to accept that free gift of salvation, and begin that loving relationship. “His intent was that now through the church, the manifold wisdom of God should be made known.” - Ephesians 3:10
2. TO LOVE OTHERS: We all need the safety and security of a spiritual relationship with others. How we meet this need: Life-Giving Lifeline Connection Groups. “...yes, I try to find common ground with everyone, doing everything I can to save some.” - 1 Corinthians 9:22
3. TO SERVE GOD: We must discover the unique gifts God created in us, so that we can be better equipped to serve God. How we meet this need: Growth Track. “I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.” - Psalm 139:14
4. TO SERVE OTHERS: We all desire to have purpose and the fulfillment of God’s call in our lives. How we meet this need: Dream Teams. “For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” - Ephesians 2:10

The message: Jesus said He did not come to be serve, but to serve, and He proved it when, in the upper room on the night of His arrest (before He was crucified the next day), He washed His disciples' feet. One thing that Lifeline Church stands firmly in is the phrase "We exist to meet the needs of others". We take this from the Bible mirror Jesus and his many act of serving others. Even though Jesus knew that some of His disciples would betray him, He still chose to love them and serve them. We need to be more like that today!
Connect: How can we serve (or you can use the word help for the littles) others? Do you see that happening at our church? (they can give examples and then you can ask about each one: worship, teaching, preaching, cleaning, setting up, tearing down, greeters, prayer team, bible study, community outreach, kids church, etc...)
Directions:
Let the kids pick out a piece of construction paper
Trace their feet on the construction paper
Cut out their feet
Let them color and decorate their feet and put the scripture John 13:15 "I have set you an example that you should do as I have done for you." as you see in the picture above.
Tape or Glue the feet into a bowl
Tape or Glue blue pieces of paper in the bowl for water.... or they can color it blue.

The message: All throughout the Bible Jesus used his hands to heal and help people. Just like in the washing feet activity, tell them that one thing that Lifeline Church stands firmly in is the phrase "We exist to meet the needs of others". We take this from the Bible mirror Jesus and his many act of serving others. Jesus chose to love them and serve people of all kinds throughout the bible. We need to be more like that today!
Connection: As the kids come up with ideas to put on the helping hands, talk about if they see that happening in the church. Talk about some ways that people help in the church (similar to the things listed above for the feet activity.
Directions:
Let the kids pick out a piece of construction paper
Trace their hand on the construction paper
Cut out 8 hand prints (I found it faster to just stack sheets and cut them all out together.)
Let the kids put ways they can be a help to the church, family, or others in the community (Some examples if they can't think of any are set the table, do my best in school, hold the door open for someone else, hug my grandma, rake neighbors leaves, clapping praise during worship)
Kids then tap (or you could glue) hands to make a circle. I found that 7/8 was the perfect number and made a good size circle.

Watch the video linked above for the directions and the connection of the importance of helping each other. There is no job too small just as one finger to help a friend in the video made the difference!
-Ask if anyone has a prayer request/praise report. Pray over requests.
-Worship time- Have the kids go find a spot to themselves and have some time with God (play the song below for around 3/5 minutes).
