Description: Wind Ensemble is an opportunity for advanced-level students to further progress their study of musical performance through solo, small group, and band repertoire.. Wind Ensemble offers students a high-level challenge in musical performance and understanding through the advanced development of instrumental technique, music reading and comprehension skills, independent musicianship, style, critical thinking skills, and a deeper analysis of music literature in solo and chamber settings. Mature rehearsal skills, disciplined practice, command of individual parts, theory knowledge, and advanced sight-reading skills are crucial. Students will be responsible for the preparation of ensemble music, lesson assignments, practice, and multiple concerts/events throughout the year.
