Prerequisite:  Open to students in grades 9-12

Description:  Concert Band is primarily a learning ensemble and is open to all MHS students.  Concert Band consists of daily rehearsals and weekly group lessons. Students must demonstrate the ability and interest to learn and grow as individual musicians and band members.  The primary goal of this ensemble is to develop the technical proficiency and musical knowledge needed to foster a deeper understanding and appreciation of music as an art form, as well as to make future advancements in the Mahopac High School band program.  Music performed at concerts will be selected from the standard repertory.  Outside performances are part of the course and curriculum.  Performances include, but are not limited to, concerts and community events.
