US HISTORY AND GOVERNMENT 11 HONORS  - 02310  - 1 CREDIT

Prerequisite: Teacher Recommendation

Credit: Social Studies

Description:  The course is similar to the above described US History and Government 11 Regents class, with the following differences:  Honors-level work differs from Regents-level work in that it involves learning a greater and more in-depth amount of content.  The course requires reading and interpreting documents, charts, graphs, and cartoons that are written/drawn at a level above that of a Regents-level course.  Honors work means that students are expected to read, write, and make judgments/assessments at a level which is beyond that of a Regents-level course.  At the conclusion of this course, the students will take the US History Regents exam in June.
