College Visual Introduction to Programming

Description: This course offers a highly visual introduction to computing and computer programming. Students will learn basic programming concepts using SCRATCH and then more advanced programming concepts using the ALICE software. Students will create 3-D virtual worlds like those seen in video games. This class aims to improve student’s skills in exact thinking, analysis and design and problem solving while providing an enjoyable path to more formal study of computing and programming using the ALICE software. Students that successfully complete this course can obtain 3 credits from Syracuse University at a reduced tuition. Note: Sophomores will not be eligible for college credit.
