Social Studies is the discipline which helps students put their various courses of study into an historical context, which provides the framework for a student’s worldview.
REQUIRED COURSES
9th Grade: Global History & Geography I
10th Grade: Global History & Geography II
11th Grade: United States History OR AP United States History
12th Grade: Economics/Participation in Government OR Advanced Placement U.S. Government & Politics OR WISE OR SUPA Public Policy OR SUPA Entrepreneurship. (Students selecting AP US Government & Politics OR SUPA Public Policy OR SUPA Entrepreneurship must still meet state requirements regarding Economics and Participation in Gov.)
Please take note of the course pathways that students have access to throughout grades 10-12. Although this represents options for students to consider, students have the ability to "cross over" into an honors sequence, an AP/College sequence and back into a regents sequence.
