COMPUTER GRAPHICS  - 08125 - 1 CREDIT

Prerequisite: Studio Art

This class will introduce students to careers in digital arts and teach students to create professional quality work through the design process. Students will be  introduced to such graphic programs as Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, After Effects, as well as animation and video editing software. The two primary objectives are: 1.Mastering the  use of latest industry standards software.  2. The investigation and understanding of the computer, which can be used as a tool and extension to more traditional means of creative expression such as drawing, painting, sculpture, and photography. Students will also study the history of Graphic Design and Advertising Design as an art form in regards to Fine Art, Commercial Art, Advertising, and Animation.
