From there we started making the lamp shade in grasshopper and rhino:
Following that we did a couple test prints:
We then tried to print our actual lamp shade, but there were some mistakes in the printing as it was too thin and small. This was a big problem as the printer wasn't big enough for us to print the lamp shade. The lightbulb was too large so we had to innovate:
We used wood to prop up the lamp shade to fully cover the light:
To create the rest of the design, we used a metal pipe that was bent to create the "support" for the lamp, and then glued it to some wood to create a base:
We also 3D printed a dome to connect the lamp shade to the metal pipe:
