Chole Hayes, who is a senior softball player at AHS, spoke with The Hawk's View  on her many years spent playing softball.

How many years have you been playing softball and what position do you play?

C: "Twelve years; first base."

What is your favorite memory while playing softball?

C: "Tournament at Virginia Beach with Pittsburgh Predators when I was sixteen."

Any advice for underclassmen playing softball?

C: "Don't take any game for granted - you never know when it'll be your last."

What are some highlights of this season?

C: "Having a five to one record." 

What inspired you to play softball?

C: "My grandfather used to play baseball and he tried out for the pirates so I wanted to make him proud."

What differences are there during this season due to Covid?

C: "It is definitely different not shaking hands at the end of each game. There is also a benefit because we are filmed each game, however it puts more pressure on us."
