Women’s History Month is a time to honor and recognize all the accomplishments and contributions of women.
The month of March officially became Women’s History Month in 1987. Women’s History Month grew out of a week-long celebration to recognize important female figures. The school district of Sonoma, California was the first district to recognize it in 1978.
Many inspiring quotes showcased over the years are evidence of the strength of women.
