According to boys golf senior Adam Hooks, even though the boys golf team finished the season 0-20 with no wins, there were still a lot of positive takeaways.
First-year sophomore Jonas Miller concluded the season as the team’s low-man of the year, according to coach Gregory Hedglin. He finished with an average of 46.16. Junior Nick Kinter finished the season with an average of 46.18, and Adam Hooks finished with an average of 46.38.
Experiencing team and skill-building opportunities was another positive, according to Adam. Learning how to play competitive golf takes time.
Seniors Logan Hooks and Nathan Rosenberger also helped Adam lead this year’s team. According to Adam, his favorite memory of golf was, like Ella Graff and Mylee Lorigan, “the wagon rides.”
To bond, the team reportedly gets fast food such as McDonald’s, Arby’s, and Burger King.
“Just gotta keep on grinding,” Adam said to the underclassmen. To get better at golf, “play as much as you can.”
